Where all the money is

Via Mickey Kaus, Kristen Williamson transcribes a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute event from CSPAN:
Maybe feeling comfortable in his surroundings and forgetting the event was streaming live over the internet, Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) took the opportunity to get a little boastful about the prospects of amnesty legislation:
“There’s virtually nobody organized against comprehensive immigration reform…We have the growers and the farm works. When we have the AFL-CIO and the Chamber of Congress agreeing. We have the high-tech industry…”
"And probably the most significant factor is there is no money on the other side of this issue. There’s nobody out there ready to spend $100 million to defeat comprehensive immigration reform.
"In fact, all the money is on the side of pushing it. And just a couple weeks ago we met with Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook and he’s raised, well, a lot of his own money, but he’s raised $50 million to run ads supporting people who will support comprehensive immigration reform and to pressure people who may be on the fence.”

The sad part is that some people will react to this sort of thing by thinking, "Those restrictionists--what a bunch of poor, uncool losers!"

It doesn't help that the MSM hasn't cultivated the conceptual framework that would allow the general public to recognize the hammer-and-anvil nature of the assault on the American nation. The Cultural Marxists and the Slave Power en haut, the lumpen-minorities en bas, and poor America being crushed in the middle.

It would be nice to think that this gaffe will be catastrophic for the Confederacy of Whores, but, as Mr. Yarmouth pointed out, who's there to capitalize on it?

The money may not be on our side, but the facts sure are. Mass immigration meant that the middle class was struggling *during* the last economic boom, and is still teetering on the brink today. Barack Obama has been in office for going on 5 years, and the mid-term elections are barely a year away.

The Democrats will not survive with unemployment still high and wages still stagnant 6 years after the recession began, and, so long as business feels free to treat workers as disposable, wages will remain stagnant.

I've heard that because the folks with money are negotiating the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) (which will be much bigger than NAFTA) for us and they will be putting new immigration laws in there or something. It is all secret and will be fast tracked through congress with no debate allowed.

I don't know if there will be immigration changes in there or not (since the negotiations are secret) but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this happens to us poor peons...

Seven of the eighteen ministers in Norway's new government are from the anti-immigration Popular Party.

Lefty socialists in Australia were just defeated in part because they're spent years botching the asylum issue.

And the National Front in France looks set to do better than ever in upcoming elections.

Open borders extremists may have money on their side, but people all across the West are growing increasingly disgusted with mass immigration. If Republicans open their eyes, they'll realize that the side of open border isn't one you'll want to be on for much longer.

Another one we'll pass to see whats in it.

Ah, Yarmuth. I'm familiar with him. He spent three terms pretending to be a gun-rights moderate, but after his overwhelming victory last year he apparently doesn't feel the need to hide his true beliefs anymore. The same could be said for Mark Warner and Joe Manchin.

Yes, but Meg Whitman learned recently, you can't buy an election. House Republicans who support amnesty will be flushed in 2014. It's as simple as that.

Anonymous said...

One way for the House GOP to put the last few weeks behind them is to take a more populist stance against immigration. Of course they won't go populist, their objection if any will be strident and open to demagoguery.

The Republicans will sink into the sea with all the new Democrat voters. Good riddance if they won't act to save themselves. What replaces them though? Do the Democrats split into two at some point?

Conservative leaders and GOP politicians are well-taken of too.
If your average Republican had to choose between serving the elites, receiving huge campaign donations, and staying in office AND serving the people, losing funding from the big guys, and losing the election, he will always go with the former.

Conservative masses are disorganized and have no leadership.

It's all about greed.

For big business, it's cheaper to hire foreigns. And the displaced American workers? -- well, that's what welfare is for -- let the governemnt support them.

The opposing side is very strong in the methods of program. To compete we need to develop the capability in pogrom. The first step on this is to identify your enemy and to employ your power to punish them at every opportunity where the cost to you is minor. For instance, why do any of these large corporations win a jury trial...EVER? Say someone slips on a banana peel at their headquarters. You're on the jury. They lose. It doesn't matter what some abstract notion of justice says. The rules of engagement are breached. All that is left is who...whom.

You have to think like a business owner: times are tight, growth is non-existent, and margin compression from raising input costs are killing you. What can you do, but try to drive down labor costs?

Of course, govt is creating the problem, to which they are offering a cure that's worse than the disease. But don't worry, the wealthy will do OK.

I just don't think there is any hope to stop all over the West, massive influx of poor, hostile, non-White non-Westerners.

Contra Peter Brimelow, the idea of "if but for" seems fairly rationalizing. If being against open borders and mass immigration, legal and illegal, was popular and a vote winner, we'd be talking about President Tancredo. Instead it is a vote loser. Nearly all the West (about 90% of Whites) WANT to be immersed in the Third World. It is time we faced facts and looked at the reasons WHY.

Greece is a good example. In time of unemployment at over 30%, and likely far higher in real terms, with austerity measures and collapse of the economy ongoing -- Golden Dawn, the ONLY party saying kick the third world out, is capped at about 8% of the vote. Syriza, which is 100% Open Borders and Third World people first, is the most popular party in Greece. The arrests of Golden Dawn over the killing of a local leftist rapper named Killah P is very popular, and so is support for the Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities. It is illegal for Golden Dawn to hand out food to starving Greeks only, the Third World refugees must be included and served first.

Why? Basically most Greeks hate themselves. They see Third World peoples and values being more aggressive, less cooperative, particularly male cooperation, less wealthy, and above all less male nerdy.

The tragedy of the West is that wealth creation rests on male nerds and male nerdiness -- cooperation, consideration, staid middle class "boring" stuff instead of "keeping it real" and the like which pretty much most women (and therefore men who wish to please them, which is many men) prefer the Third World to the First. Eat-Pray-Love in your own nation, with "boring" nerdy White guys eradicated (the goal of Double X and Jezebel and the like).

Maybe the TPP itself won't include free trade in labor (like the Japanese are afraid of), but it certainly will strengthen the folks who pay the politicians to push for it

TPP is billed a free trade agreement, but it is actually protectionism for Wall Street bailout banks, insurance and drug companies profiting off Obamacare and the corporatists pushing open borders and amnesty under the rubric of “immigration reform.” The cronies with “access” in Washington are writing the deal while the rest of us are shut out.

Wiki: "Yarmuth has served on many boards including the Bingham Child Guidance Center and Kentucky Country Day School. He is Kentucky's first Jewish congressman."

We all know that Jews get "Fs" on immigration, pretty much regardless of ostensible political affiliation. It's in their DNA. But since I started reading thegunwireDOTcom, I've made the occasional attempt to enlighten the gun people about who leads the efforts to strip Americans of our ancient right to self-defense, too. The audience isn't particularly receptive. They're mostly goyische kopf conservitard cuckold types. ISteve types don't seem to care much about the self-defense issue.

Anti-Semitism Anti-Schmemitism, it's time Americans learned not to be surprised when they elect Jewish pols and support Jewish businessmen who turn around and do their best to disarm the law-abiding and destroy the borders.

If being against open borders and mass immigration, legal and illegal, was popular and a vote winner, we'd be talking about President Tancredo.

Whiskey's faux naivete is well past its sell-by date. Whatever the MSM pushes tends to be popular and therefore a vote-winner. As ever, Whiskey has the arrow of causation reversed. If life were a race, he'd be stuck at the starting line (giving the impression of) wondering why his cart isn't pulling his horse.

It is time we faced facts and looked at the reasons WHY.

Cuz white wymminz. Pass the matzo.

Golden Dawn, the ONLY party saying kick the third world out, is capped at about 8% of the vote. Syriza, which is 100% Open Borders and Third World people first, is the most popular party in Greece.

From the English-language website of Golden Dawn

Syriza 29.7%
Golden Dawn 18.9%
New Democracy 18%
PASOK 8.7%
KKE 6.6%
Independent Greeks 5%
Democratic Left 3%

Despite the entire Greek and world media being in lockstep in demonizing GD, they're #2 in Greece.

Why? Basically most Greeks hate themselves.

I wonder if 19% of the Greek media is in GD's pocket? Or, maybe, it's far less? Maybe the Greek media hates Greeks more than the Greek people do? Nnnnaaaah, can't be true. The Greek media and elite are innocent lambs, reflecting only the popular sentiments of the Greek people. The ole Tabula Rasa.

The inevitable needs no advocacy. Yet Whiskey inevitably advocates it.

What is it with this guy and his excuse-making for oligarchs and their opinion-making machinery?

Polls have shown over the years that the American public is much more anti-immigration than our legislators.

Whiskey: the guy pushing your granny, your mother, your sister, your daughter under the bus to protect the Jewish robber barons.

If the media told the whole truth:

1) most people wouldn't believe it at first

2) the entire PC construct would collapse within weeks.

It is really worthless to try to debate whiskey. For starters, he won't debate. Then he will turn everything into a defense of Jewish interests. So even on a post like this, where Steve politely provided a wiki link about the subject at hand, whiskey will completely ignore the obvious.

It is similar to what happened a few weeks back on Vox Day's blog. Whiskey and some other die hards swore that the Israelis did not want Assad overthrown in Syria. When Vox supplied an article with direct quotes from the Israeli ambassador stating just that, they ignored it and kept up their defensive.

He is as locked in on that issue as any PC guy is on the blank state. And no amount of evidence will ever change his view.

Once again, that born-fightin' Scots-Irish redneck "Whiskey", the man with the blood of Davy Crockett and Dan'l Boone running through his veins like Tennessee Whiskey, that woad-painted rebel holding high the banner of St. Andrew............councils abject, sniveling defeat.

"Greece is a good example. In time of unemployment at over 30%, and likely far higher in real terms, with austerity measures and collapse of the economy ongoing -- Golden Dawn, the ONLY party saying kick the third world out, is capped at about 8% of the vote."

Of course, the fact that the party is being suppressed and outlawed and it's members purged from all government jobs might have something to do with its new-found unpopularity.

"The arrests of Golden Dawn over the killing of a local leftist rapper named Killah P is very popular, and so is support for the Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities."

Who says the suppression of GD is popular? Who says that Bangladeshis and Pakistanis are popular with Greeks? The state-aligned media (All elite media everywhere is state-aligned)? The media aligned with the same government that is engaged in suppressing a political party and promoting third-world immigration? Surely they couldn't be lying - not "the Media".

Abraham Lincoln thought America was proof against invasion. He was wrong.
---
Based on his own words, I'd say he was right.

Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

And Lincoln would have known - he gave it a good try himself.
